Autoglym, the UK’s largest car care brand, has launched its new Polar Foam Sprayer, an easy-to-use and highly effective snow foam dispenser that can be operated without a pressure washer and for Free car Mag, that’s something of gamechanger, so much so, we are going to borrow one to find out. First off here’s the information you need right now.
The new product can deliver a thick blanket of foam to help achieve a comprehensive clean and is compatible with Autoglym’s acclaimed Polar range of cleaning solutions: Polar Blast, Polar Wash and Polar Seal. The Polar Foam Sprayer delivers a consistent layer of foam and is an alternative to more expensive pressure-washer foam cannons, while using far less water.
Snow foam has become a popular feature of the modern car cleaning regime, with a growing number of car owners carrying out a pre-wash before tackling more baked-on dirt and grime. Snow foam allows cleaning solutions to cling more effectively to the surface of the vehicle, creating sufficient ‘dwell time’ for the cleansing surfactants to loosen and lift stubborn dirt and grime while being easy to apply.
New independent research has identified that, among those UK consumers who clean their own car, only 36% always do so using a pressure washer.
When asked, ‘Why don’t you use a pressure washer as part of your vehicle wash routine’, the majority of respondents (26%) believed their manual method did a more thorough job, 25% found it simpler to wash by hand using a hose or bucket, and 15% didn’t own a pressure washer.
Some users find pressure washers bulky to manoeuvre and time-consuming to set-up and dismantle before and after a clean, while others simply don’t have access to a suitable outdoor electricity supply.
Autoglym’s new Polar Foam Sprayer offers a convenient and affordable solution for all – ideal for those who can’t or don’t want to use a pressure washer for every wash, or don’t wish to invest in a dedicated foam cannon for their existing pressure washer.
The new Polar Foam Sprayer is pressurised using the built-in hand pump, and the integrated bottle has a 1.9-litre capacity that facilitates complete foam coverage of the average car. A built-in safety lock prevents the sprayer being activated accidentally once pressurised. Within the spray nozzle is a filter pad that prevents any contaminants being dispensed onto the vehicle, and the product also comes with 10 spare filter pads.
The Polar Foam Sprayer is optimised for Autoglym’s popular three-step Polar product range: Polar Blast, Polar Wash and Polar Seal. The Autoglym Polar Blast pre-wash high-cling foam gently loosens dirt and heavy soiling without requiring any physical contact. Autoglym Polar Wash high-foaming shampoo can then be used with a wash mitt or sponge to shift any remaining surface grime without removing any previously applied waxes or sealants. Autoglym Polar Seal delivers a super protective, hydrophobic coating that repels water and dirt to deliver added protection and a high-gloss finish.
Mark Knowles, Product Manager at Autoglym, said: “Our Polar snow foam range has been very popular with customers, although those without a pressure washer have typically had to resort to more traditional car shampoos. Our new Polar Foam Sprayer means everyone can now easily apply snow foam solutions to their vehicles for a fast and effective clean, which is also satisfying and fun to use.”
Priced at £29.99 (RRP), the Autoglym Polar Foam Sprayer is available from Autoglym.com and all good retail outlets.
